I have worked out with Dayna for 10 yrs, both in her signature group exercise classes and private reformer/pilates training. She has an innate understanding of the clients’ needs, whatever their capabilities. Dayna continues to learn of the latest information available on aging.

I am a senior who has been taking a pilates 1 hour course weekly with Dayna
for approximately 9 years. During this time Dayna has been very consistent with teaching us to get the most out of pilates . She has a wonderful quiet way of getting the class to relax and really focus on each move in order to get the most benefit from her class. Dayna never pushes us to the point of pain…always encouraging us to be the judge of what we feel we can and can’t do.
I only wish I had been taking this course earlier in my life – it has helped me to stay limber and I certainly will be in this class as long as Dayna is teaching it. She is a calm, steadying person, and I would recommend her classes to anyone wanting to improve their quality of life as we all age.
As a new resident of the golf and country club, I was initially attracted to the Wellness program at the Rec Centre. Suffering a stroke the year before, it affected my right leg and severely impeded my overall balance. 5 months of rehab followed in which i regained full function of my leg, however my balance was not back to normal.
As an initial assessment, it was a natural move on my part to do the Functional fitness test with Dayna. She then established a 5 day fitness program for me. I adhere to this program religiously and rarely miss a day! In addition to this daily routine, I participate in Dayna’s Body Balance class every Thursday. This is one of Thrive in your prime signature classes.
This class is greatly improving my agility and physical activity. As an 86yr old closing in on 87, I’m glad i found Dayna, the Wellness Director at our Rec centre and owner of Thrive in your Prime!!
I was attracted to Bfit Class , for the personal instruction and attention to proper technique. I had concerns with poor posture, decreased flexibility, core strength and decreased bone density. Osteopenia is a condition i was not wanting to progress further.
I have been taking Dayna’s class for 4 years now and it never disappoints me. Dayna has a good approach. She pays careful attention to proper technique. I like the comradery of others having a common goal of staying fit!
My posture has improved, as has my flexibility, core strength, balance and not to mention my bone density! My doctor can’t believe it, but i have actually grown taller! I think it’s just that my posture improved so i stand taller! My physician has taken me off my medication for osteopenia as my bone density improved so much that I no longer need the meds.

Prior to taking Dayn’s Bfit class, I had joint pain, muscle tension and soreness and decreased range of motion. After taking Dayna’s signature class, my joint pain decreased, my range of motion improved, my arm and leg strength improved as well as my core strength. I actually feel less stressed and less overwhelmed.

A couple of days after my stretching session with Dayna, I noticed I was walking with more ease and less joint pain.
Dayna’s stretching technique and series give me an increase in range of motion that I have not seen in years. The recommendations she makes for specific at home exercise keeps me working on my flexibility until my next session with her.
The stretching exercises are modified for each individual. I would certainly recommend these sessions.
