Dayna Stoddart, is a renowned Active Aging Expert, Health, Fitness and Wellness Professional.
Dayna received her BSc in Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario.
Working in Canada and then the U.S. for 10+ yrs as a Physical Therapist, she was becoming more and more discouraged at how “healthcare” in reality is more “sick care”
Dayna is a Fitness Instructor Specialist with Can Fit Pro, Certified Pilates Instructor (Physical Mind Institute), Post Rehab Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist (Pink Ribbon Program), an Active Aging Expert and Advocate for Changing the Way We Age.
She is a member of/and sat on the Visioning Advisory Board for ICAA (International Council on Active Aging) for 2 years (2009-2011).
Dayna has published an article on "The Power of Posture" and has presented at the Athletic Business Conference and the International Council on Active Aging Conference , on posture and Thrive in Your Prime signature class, Body Balance.
Partnering with like minded people and organizations is key. My platform has always been “Exercise is Medicine”. I support EIMC (Exercise is Medicine Canada) and had the privilege of providing input into the development of the EIMC Recognition Program and Professional Network
Dayna Stoddart has over 30 years of experience in the health, fitness and wellness industry in various capacities.
Today she is a renowned active aging specialist and has dedicated her life’s work to improving the quality of lives for our aging population.
Working in longterm care and acute care, she saw first hand the impact poor lifestyle choices and lack of physical activity have on our quality of life, longevity and healthspan.
She was very close to her grandparents, who both suffered with many chronic diseases. Hence, her passion to advocate physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices to enable people to improve their healthspan.
She has developed active aging programs for the boomers and older adults by conducting her proven systems with her one of a kind passion.
Dayna is the Wellness Director of an Adult Lifestyle gated community of 900 homes located north of Toronto.
